Join us at our Carnegie Center April 8,9 &10 at 1:00 pm for exciting spring break programs. Learn about fossils, have fun with science experiments, and learn what it takes to have a green thumb!
Science with Ziplocs
How much science can you learn from a Ziploc bag? Plenty! Cool activities will include making a plastic bag greenhouse, creating a chemical reaction and making homemade ice cream! They don’t just lock in freshness, they unlock your imagination!
Pasta Fossils
Did you know Michigan rests on thousands of layers of sedimentary rocks? Have you ever wondered what might be under Michigan and our Great Lakes? We will learn about fossils, try to identify skeletons of things native to our region, and make a pasta fossil to take home.
Become a Green Thumb
It is very rewarding to start a plant from one tiny seed and watch it grow! Come and learn about becoming a green thumb and the growth cycles seeds follow to become a full grown plant. Decorate a pot, plant a seed, and learn how to nourish it at home for spectacular results!
